SwedPedMed
Half of medicines to Swedish children in hospitals are off-lable, meaning that the pharmacotherapy relies largely on medicines intended for adult use. Medicines for which there is no research data on effects, long-term effects or adverse effects. Knowledge in children’s medication needs to increase.
During the last years SwedPedMed, a Swedish network for clinical trials and drug development for children has developed. SwedPedMed is part of NordicPedMed, a cooperation between the nordic countries, and national hub for Conect4children a pan-European paediatric trial network as well as member of Enpr-EMA.
